Sr. Creative Designer

The Creative Designer is an instrumental member of the Marketing Communications team. The primary responsibility of this individual is to collaborate with key stakeholders across the Surgical Division and transform their communication needs to visually appealing design. The ideal candidate is a seasoned, experienced professional with a full understanding of graphic design and can resolve wide ranges of issues in creative ways. They will have experience creating across digital and print mediums, channels and platforms to consumer and Health Care Professional (HCP) audiences. This role interfaces closely with internal stakeholders and is a great opportunity to help influence a rapidly growing Surgical business.

Essential Duties & Responsibilities

  • Work with internal stakeholders to plan, create and execute creative/design projects, including digital marketing (web, social, banners, ads and email), tradeshow and meeting graphics, and marketing and sales collateral

  • Manage projects from conception to completion including reviewing and obtaining approval on layouts and final artwork files, coordinating with project team members outside agencies, printers, etc.

  • Implement and execute industry best practices, consistently produce high-quality designs with clear calls-to-actions

  • Understand the audience and user experience best practices for tactic design

  • Uphold and implement brand guidelines including navigating companywide brand architecture project

  • Organize and prioritize multiple projects, stakeholders and pieces including management of Freelancer Hours and projects

  • Maintain technical knowledge by attending design workshops; reviewing professional publications; participating in professional societies


To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily. The requirements listed below are representative of the basic knowledge, skills, and/or abilities required.

  • Excellent IT skills, especially with design and editing software (Adobe InDesign, Photoshop & Illustrator)

  • Exceptional creativity and innovation

  • Experience managing multiple projects and the ability to meet aggressive timelines

  • Critical thinker with an ambitious, solutions oriented approach

  • Accuracy and attention to detail

  • Outstanding interpersonal skills andexcellent written and verbal communication skills: cross functional collaboration, decisive, action-oriented and ability to synthesize feedback from stakeholders

  • An understanding of the latest trends and their role within a commercial environment

  • Portfolio or samples of work demonstrating visual branding, online and offline marketing required

  • Team player with positive outlook

  • Regulated industry experience a plus


  • BA/BS required


  • Minimum of 5-8 years Graphic Design experience required

  • 2 years of experience within healthcare marketing preferred
