Job Description:

Role Summary/Purpose:

Synchrony is continuing to build a world class Performance Media and Creative Organization committed to driving results with our retail and payments partners while also delivering leading customer experiences. Within this organization, our MarTech and Data team Leader is focused on the thought leadership and vision, prioritization and activation of the Synchrony MarTech stack investment, data, digital media measurement and audience management across the Enterprise. This role will own all aspects of implementing Marketing technology tools and practices to deliver Commercial results and be responsible for building and leading a team of subject matter experts.

This position is currently remote, where you’ll be work from home, but may be required to work in one of our offices in the future or occasionally commute to one our offices for in person engagement activities such as team meetings, training and culture events.

Essential Responsibilities:

  • Lead a team of 60+ Marketing technologist and data specialists across the US and oversight to our Asia teams

  • Strategic thought leader to create vision, prioritize, and activate the Synchrony MarTech stack investment across the Enterprise

  • Proven experience implementing Marketing technology tools and practices to deliver Commercial results.

  • Create vision for customer Marketing Journeys and lead the build and rollout within leading edge tools including an Enterprise CDP.

  • Create a data-led culture with team performance rooted in a balance of commercial and control metrics

  • Lead development and prioritization of Personalization experiences across the digital marketing ecosystem to deliver on 243MM incremental PV in 2021 and $430MM by 2023.

  • Create and implement vision and strategy for Data and Martech platform team’s skills evolution and long term career development

  • Transform work processes in alignment with strategic company goals including the implementation of Agile working disciplines driving on time delivery and reduced issues and loss events

  • Collaborate with product and engineering teams to develop platform capabilities around Data, Decisioning, Distribution and Measurement domains

  • Create and refine use cases with detailed product requirements to articulate desired product features and functionality as well as technical specifications and user experience & design.

  • Drive leadership and collaboration of x-functional teams to drive agenda. Interact with executives in Enterprise Data Management, Platform Services, Enterprise Architecture, Global Data & Risk Sciences, Global Analytics, Consumer & Merchant Product

  • Monitor impact of product features on merchant usage, merchant engagement, and other key metrics

  • Develop metrics and studies to quantify the value of different aspects of business processes and consumer behavior

  • Optimize technology investment through clear tradeoffs between time-to-market and long-term solutions

  • Translate analytic insights into concrete, actionable recommendations for Marketing, business or product improvement· Troubleshoot product issues and answer product questions be the product expert

  • Define a measurement framework for cross channel media channels and create data visualization for enterprise marketing performance data.

  • Evaluate various attribution modeling techniques, tools and methodologies including Data drive attribution models from Campaign Manager, Google Analytics, Facebook Attribution

  • Act as a product evangelist to build awareness and understanding of your product and its features across the company

Qualifications/Requirements:

  • Bachelor's degree or in lieu of degree; high school diploma/GED and 15 years work experience in Marketing technology

  • 10+ years of experience in developing/building and implementing Marketing performance technology and audience practices

  • 5+ years managing diverse, dispersed and growth-oriented teams  a teams

  • Experience in customer data platforms, preference centers and campaign targeting technologies

Eligibility Requirements:

  • You must be 18 years or older

  • You must have a high school diploma or equivalent

  • You must be willing to take a drug test, submit to a background investigation and submit fingerprints as part of the onboarding process

  • You must be able to satisfy the requirements of Section 19 of the Federal Deposit Insurance Act.

  • New hires (Level 4-7) must have 9 months of continuous service with the company before they are eligible to post on other roles. Once this new hire time in position requirement is met, the associate will have a minimum 6 months’ time in position before they can post for future non-exempt roles. Employees, level 8 or greater, must have at least 24 months’ time in position before they can post. All internal employees must have at least a “consistently meets expectations” performance rating and have approval from your manager to post (or the approval of your manager and HR if you don’t meet the time in position or performance requirement).

The salary range for this position is 150,000.00 - 300,000.00 USD Annual

Salaries are adjusted according to market in CA and Metro NY and some positions are bonus eligible.
