We are looking for a bright, engaging, curious leader to join the Cytiva finance team.

The Commercial Finance analyst is a key business partner for the US & Canada (USCAN) Upstream Commercial organization. The Upstream portfolio consists of Cytiva’s equipment and consumable product lines that optimize cell growth in research or bioprocessing.

By working in this role, the individual would have opportunities for:

  • Comprehensive and complete understanding on Bioprocess medicine development and manufacturing process, key strategy, market trend, and competitor dynamics

  • Exposure to diverse teams from sales, operations, and manufacturing in addition to finance collaboration

  • Business partnership with commercial and product leadership team

What you’ll do:

  • Act as a business partner to the USCAN Upstream Commercial team, providing day to day support to drive commercial / financial execution of the Upstream modalities

  • Prepare and lead regular commercial reviews with the upstream team, providing estimates for orders through sales margin at segment / zone view

  • Partner with production planning team to understand upcoming production schedule and communicate supply risks or opportunities to sales forecast

  • Lead monthly upstream reviews with key strategic accounts to understand large customer impact to forecast

  • Support annual sales target planning, including a bottoms up approach modelling out blockbuster drug revenue implications and key account forecast

  • Perform post close financial reporting and communicate business results

  • Support regional reporting requirements including:

  • COVID/Non-COVID impact for orders and sales. Developing deep understanding of commercial impact related to how COVID vaccine and treatment has contributed to business performance

  • Monthly commercial metrics focusing on opportunity win rate, new accounts, design in wins, all of which provide commentary on business performance

  • Regular discount and pricing attainment reviews for owned products

  • Terms and conditions orders hold review, flagging orders where final terms are not agreed upon and need additional customer acceptance before order recognition takes place

  • Ad-Hoc projects such as:

  • Identify and lead process improvement opportunities (trackers & templates, forecasting simplification, etc.)

Who you are

  • Bachelor’s degree in accounting, finance, economics, or related field with 2-5 years of relevant experience

  • Ability to synthesize qualitative and quantitative findings into leadership-level presentations

  • Ability to work cross-functionally with stakeholders across multiple departments

  • Prior experience in commercial forecasting and partnership

  • Strong technical skills across Microsoft Office Suite and Salesforce.com

  • Excellent problem-solver and process discipline

  • Strong oral and written communication skills

  • Opinionated, visible leader, not shy to challenge the status quo
