The Steamship Authority is currently accepting applications to fill Reservation Clerk positions available at the Steamship Authority\'s Mashpee Reservation Office. These are union positions with SEIU Local 888 and are full-time (40 hours a week), year-round and seasonal positions, including weekend coverage with a starting rate of pay of \$16.91 per hour. Permanent status is obtained after 150 days worked. Permanent rate of pay is \$21.75 per hour. Health, vision, and dental insurance are also available after obtaining permanent status. Responsibilities include: answering telephone calls and providing assistance in making, changing or canceling vehicle reservations and high-speed passenger reservations and processing in our reservation system; providing customers with general information such as vehicle space availability, schedule information, and more; troubleshooting website concerns with customers; record entry and processing. Job requirements: proficient telephone skills including clear diction and spoken English; competent customer service skills; experience in basic PC computer skills; knowledgeable in the basic use of the internet, web browsers, iOS and Android; willingness to learn and take initiative; reliability, good transportation; available for weekends and holidays and possible nights. Employment requirements: pass a pre-employment drug test; pass a background check.
