Job Summary

Responsible for leading a team to gather disparate data files from various sources. Analyze and normalize data to ensure quality and process for upload into the master data management and other related software. Provide guidance and analysis on processed data that empower Purchasing, Sales, Sourcing, and Pricing teams to attain objectives.

Major Tasks, Responsibilities, and Key Accountabilities

• Leads a data team that could include responsibility for, but not limited to: product file maintenance; cost matrix maintenance; price matrix maintenance; employee and organizational hierarchy; vendor file maintenance; and/or customer file maintenance.

• Develops and continually assesses work processes to identify opportunities to automate, minimize error and maximize productivity. Develops tools to monitor for compliance to standards.

• Leads, plans, and coordinates work teams to ensure effective performance. Works with the team to determine root cause for discrepancies, correct processes and implement change.

• Develops strategies to enable teams to efficiently input and analyze data received from external sources to ensure accurate and validated data is available for associates in decision making and customer service.

Nature and Scope

• Solutions require analysis and investigation.

• Achieves planned results by decisions and actions based on professional methods, business principles, and practical experience.

• Manages a group or team of professional individual contributors and/or indirectly supervises support staff.

Work Environment

• Located in a comfortable indoor area. Any unpleasant conditions would be infrequent and not objectionable.

• Most of the time is spent sitting in a comfortable position and there is frequent opportunity to move about. On rare occasions there may be a need to move or lift light articles.

• Typically requires overnight travel less than 10% of the time.

Education and Experience

• Typically requires BS/BA in a related discipline. Generally 7+ years of experience in a related field. May require certification. Advanced degree may offset less experience in some disciplines.
