A Buyer is needed for a technology company that designs and manufactures connectors and sensors for several industries, such as automotive, industrial equipment, data communication systems, and more, in the Medway, MA area. This role will manage procurement processes, vendor relationships, and inventory levels to ensure cost-effective purchasing and alignment with company production and quality requirements.

responsibilities:

• Responsible for purchasing materials, components, supplies, equipment, and services to meet company needs while maintaining inventory levels.

• Identify, evaluate, approve, and qualify vendors based on reliability and adherence to company standards.

• Obtain quotations, review bids, and negotiate contract terms to meet supply, quality, and cost expectations.

• Analyze price trends, commodity costs, and purchasing trends to recommend cost-saving proposals, including bulk purchasing and alternative sourcing.

• Collaborate with internal teams to ensure inventory aligns with production demand and resolve invoicing or shipment discrepancies.

• Develop specifications for new contracts and assist with vendor setup in procurement systems.

• Maintain records of purchases, contracts, invoices, and shipments, ensuring accurate documentation and tracking of orders.
