Description:

Mercy Medical Center a member of Trinity Health Of New England is looking for an Building Services Aide (housekeeper) to join our team of mission-driven healthcare innovators. Our vision is to provide state-of-the-art healthcare to those within our local communities, creating a positive impact for each individual that walks through our doors.

This person is responsible for maintaining a clean, sanitary and safe health care environment by daily cleaning and supplying of patient rooms, nursing stations, lounges, bathrooms, offices, departments and other assigned areas.

Work Hours/Shift:

  • Part-Time, 24 hours / week -Days

You Will Be Responsible For :

  • Exceptional Patient Care : Contributes to overall quality of care by performing required cleaning functions in assigned area

  • Excellent Communicator : Communicate effectively (written and verbal) with admin, colleagues, patients and family member.

  • Technical Familiarity: Executes proper cleaning procedures and demonstrates efficient, cost effective and safe use of housekeeping equipment

  • Active Teamwork : Performs other special assignments.

Requirements :

  • Education : High School diploma or general equivalency diploma (GED) preferred; or one to three months’ related experience and training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.

  • Ability to read and comprehend simple instructions, short correspondence and memos.

  • Ability to write simple correspondence.

  • Ability to apply commonsense understanding to carry out detailed but uninvolved written or oral instructions.

  • Ability to pass drug screenings and background checks
