Trinity Health Of New England is looking for a Digital Press Operator to join our specialized Printing Services Team located at Mercy Medical Center. Our organizational vision is to provide state-of-the-art healthcare to those within our local communities, creating a positive impact for each individual that walks through our doors. This person is responsible for the daily production of printed materials in accordance with departmental schedules, ensuring that requisitioners will be supplied with their printed materials necessary to fulfill their individual responsibilities. In doing so, programs digital press from digital files using the specifications from the job ticket. Sets paper trays, gsm thickness, quantities and other functions to complete job efficiently and accurate.

Work Hours/Shift:

  • Full-time, Day Shift

You Will Be Responsible For :

  • Exceptional Quality Work: Monitor quality of job output for corrections and image quality. . Maintains logs and records of projects completed, supplies used, time spent per project, and so forth. Perform billing/job ticket sorting in accordance to guidelines. Performs minor repairs and preventative maintenance (changing cutting blades, drill bits) on related equipment.

  • Excellent Communicator : Communicate effectively (written and verbal) internally and externally with providers, payors, consultants and vendors. Ability to train new staff.

  • Technical Familiarity: Operate digital printers independently with minimal direction. Must have advanced Excel skills, experience with Word, PeopleSoft experience is a plus. Capable of learning new tools and methodologies quickly. Ability to set up, operate and adjust equipment in addition to diagnose, solve and correct operating problems affecting the quality and timeliness of the service or product or function

  • Active Teamwork : Demonstrates problem solving, conflict resolution, and positive communication through teamwork.

Requirements :

  • Education : High school level of educational development and one but less than two years of basic technical or occupationally specific training in vocational school/print technology.

  • Certification : None.

  • Experience: Minimum, training in vocational school/print technology , w ork experience preferred.

  • Skills: Work requires the analytical ability to gather and interpret data in situations where the information or problems are not overly difficult or complex. ability to understand and respond to simple written or verbal instructions. Occasionally requires contact with patients and/or visitors which involves ordinary courtesy. Computer skills/knowledge

  • Ability to pass drug screenings and background checks

  • WORKING ONDITIONS:1. Requires working with equipment or performing procedures where carelessness would probably result in minor cuts, bruises or muscle pulls.2. Requires working in close proximity to high voltage electrical current and/or moving machinery, or with power tools and equipment (Guillotine knife, hydraulic drills, etc.) which requires caution and use of established safety guidelines and equipment.3. Requires working with toners & chemicals used in printing.4. Requires working in noisy print shop environment.5. Requires regularly lifting heavy objects between approximately 20-40lbs up to 60lbs.
