Job Description: Keep printing presses and die cutting machines loaded with pallets of aerated material in a timely fashion. Responsibilities include, but are not limited to: -Read and comprehend the schedule to determine the sequence of production for both Printing and Die Cutting to keep equipment loaded with aerated material. - Use of hand truck to move loads throughout plant. - Communicate status with both press operators and warehouse staff on the status of the schedule of aerating loads. - Operate Aerator machine safely and efficiently. - Complete log book of product aerated. - Remove waste make ready loads from presses. - Use of fork truck to get loads down from racking. - Clear used rags off of printing presses. - Maintain chemicals for the printing presses. - Maintain housekeeping in the Aerating area. - Perform sorting of non-conforming product. - Perform preventive maintenance as needed. - Other duties as assigned. Qualifications: To perform job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactory. To perform the essential duties and responsibilities of the job, the employee must be accurate and precise, stand for long periods of time, repetitively lift and be able to lift 50 pounds or less, bend twist and reach and must be capable of operating without direct supervision. REQUIRED: Must have electric pallet jack experience Safety Policies and Practices All employees are required to wear safety glasses and steel toe shoes while in the manufacturing area. Sound protection is required in designated areas. Rules for employee conduct are covered in the employee orientation and in the employee handbook. To operate a hand truck, the employee needs to be licensed within a responsible time period. During this period, the trainer is responsible for the trainee?s safety in the operation of these trucks.
