Position Summary :
Our rapidly growing medical robotics division is searching for an Associate Service Depot Engineer. This position will provide troubleshooting, repair and upgrade support on robotic systems, while ensuring compliance with all company policies & procedures and maintaining compliance with US FDA and international medical device regulations and ISO 13485 quality system requirements. Participate in and provide support to the field service team for parts, technical questions, and documentation. The job requires an individual with technical and administration skills, who is a self-starter and team player with the ability to work well without close supervision, can independently manage time/schedule and function well in a challenging and fast-paced environment. Must be enthusiastic, positive, even tempered and have strong skills in areas of dependability, interpersonal relationships, flexibility and maturity.
Essential Functions :
Assist the engineering group with experiments to improve product performance and reliability
Provide support to the field service team for parts, technical questions, and documentation
Support troubleshooting and repair efforts on robotic systems including in-house and demo fleet units
Participate in the returned material authorization (RMA) processing by receiving, diagnosing, non-conforming documents (NC), dispositioning, rework documentation (RWK) & repairing
Generate change orders to update documentation (DCO) for released product
Assist with software upgrades, procedure creation, procedure validations, new product releases, change order management and system maintenance
Maintain field replaceable unit (FRU) and refurb inventory to support field operations

Qualifications :
Associate’s or bachelor’s degree in electrical engineering preferred
Minimum of 2 years of experience in a technical role with a robotics background preferred.
Experience with troubleshooting, soldering, loading and testing computers a plus
Knowledge of quality and/or reliability engineering is a plus
Excellent verbal and written communication skills
Advanced critical thinking and problems-solving skills
Proficiency in using Microsoft Office products
Ability to travel up to 10% of the time
Ability to work under minimum supervision with a high degree of organizational and technical competence
Ability to function well under pressure and expend effort to meet schedules and deadlines
