Senior Production Team Lead (1st Shift)

Primary Responsibility:

In addition to skilled assembly work, performs planning and scheduling functions involved with coordinating products and materials through various production phases. Implements planned production schedules, labor loading and capacity requirements. Reviews schedules to determine materials and parts requirements to ensure materials are available according to schedules. Selects and develops personnel to ensure the efficient operation of the production function. Acts as the point person for cross functional interactions, escalating issues to direct management. Works closely with Operations Management on communication tactics and overall safety. Provides hands on support to production staff where needed.

Skill: As a highly skilled expert, contributes to development of advanced concepts and techniques. Completes complex and unique tasks in an innovative and effective way. Facilitates cross-functional daily meetings. Contributes to team member development and performance assessments.

Job Complexity: Consistently works on complex assignments requiring action and a high degree of initiative to resolve issues independently. Makes recommendations for new procedures and continuous improvements tactics. Empowered to implement timely and business critical decisions with follow up communication to management.

Supervision – Acts independently to determine methods and procedures on new or special assignments. May lead or supervise the activities of other nonexempt personnel. Builds cross-functional relationships.

Experience – Typically requires 8+ years of related experience.
