Christmas Tree Shops Distribution Center Quality Control Clerk in Middleboro, Massachusetts

Acts as liaison between the DC and all internal/external ?customers? i.e.: corporate, buyers, allocations, stores, vendors, etc. To ensure proper supply chain logistics, resolve quality checks, and adjusts as needed. Adhere to all safety, health, environmental procedure policies and ensures that all equipment is in safe operating condition that meets or exceeds OSHA Standards. Maintain a team-oriented working environment that allows for individual differences and provides for individual growth. Administers wholesale orders, invoicing, returns to vendors, quote adjustments, and donations. Ensures timely receipt of order processing. Acts as a liaison between outside vendors, carriers, and internal departments. Verifies department appointments and communicates all activities to the appropriate personnel Uses computer software to execute and distribute reports to the appropriate team members Compiles transactional data from internal departments for quality control, reconciliation, productivity measurement and recordkeeping. Prepares daily documents and ?set-up? procedures in the proper sequence Assists in supporting/troubleshooting department technology such as terminals, dock printers, workstations, and other basic electronics Analyzes data, conducts reconciliations, and reports quality errors to the Manager/Supervisor Administers inventory adjustments such as cycle counts, stock adjustments, transfers, and consolidation Train new team members on inventory procedures Completes department daily checklists and/or control sheets Escalates any issues to the Manager or Supervisor that cannot be resolved Assumes operational team member services as needed (operating power equipment, loading/unloading trucks, order selection, induction, cleaning, supporting new hires through training etc.) Maintains a highly organized and clean workstation Responds to phone calls, emails, and walk-ins in a timely and professional manner Works with other departments on special products, shared reports, or process improvement Other duties and special projects as assigned by management IMPORTANT CHARACTERISTICS AND BEHAVIORS FOR SUCCESS Acts with urgency to resolve issues impacting equipment and flow of goods through the DC Emulates role model material to team members that exemplifies professionalism and mutual respect Takes ownership for understanding, implementing, and supporting change Demonstrates commitment to the team by maintaining regular, punctual attendance, is reliable and follows through with responsibilities Highly organized and can work independently yet understands the value of teamwork QUALIFICATIONS AND REQUIREMENTS Must be minimum of 18 years old High school diploma or GED Excellent verbal and written communication skills Ability to speak, read, write and understand English language Intermediate experience on Microsoft Outlook, Excel, and Word Experience with Warehouse Management Systems preferred but not required. PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS Minimally be able to lift, push, pull and carry up to 50 pounds. Ability to operate machinery up to heights of 40 feet Physical ability to perform tasks that may require prolonged standing, sitting, and other activities necessary to perform job duties.
