In Clinical Diagnostics, Waters has leading LC-MS technologies, which are already used for many applications including therapeutic drug monitoring, newborn screening, and endocrinology.
With the growth in precision medicine, it is an exciting time for LC-MS in clinical diagnostics. For 10+ years, PCR-NGS techniques have been widely used for clinical diagnostics. Clinicians now want a real-time understanding of disease states, requiring a more complete picture of proteins, lipids, and steroids. LC-MS based assays are critical to provide this level of insight with their analytical specificity, sensitivity, and capacity to analyze simultaneously multiple analytes.
Reporting to the Head of R&D of Clinical Business, the Project Manager will join a passionate, agile team to develop innovative solutions to address high unmet needs and establish Waters as the leader in clinical LC-MS diagnostics markets.
Lead cross-functional teams to successfully execute the R&D projects and new product introductions that provide end-to-end clinical mass spectrometry solutions for critical therapeutic areas including endocrinology, toxicology, oncology etc.
Implement project management methodologies, processes, and tools to deliver the R&D projects and new product introductions on target.
To lead diverse, multi-functional teams in the execution of complex global projects that deliver products consisting of fully integrated systems and IVD reagent kits.
Responsible for all aspects of Project Management for Product Delivery from concept to benefit realization within scope, managing schedule and budget and keeping key management stakeholders appraised on project status.
Proactively utilize project management best practices to ensure adequate planning, monitoring, controls and risk management activities are conducted.
Coordinate with professional functions to provide holistic approach that includes all factors pertinent to the project success e.g. legal, commercial, financial, health & safety, operations.
Manage all projects within the appropriate Waters governance framework and Lifecycle management processes.
Manage relationships with third parties and other external collaborators, tracking work and communicating accordingly.
Extensive and demonstrable experience in leading and managing large complicated (multifaceted) IVD projects.
A recognized project management qualification (e.g. PMP) with a minimum of 5+ years’ experience in leading teams and delivering projects.
Expert knowledge of the project lifecycle, techniques, appropriate methodologies and approaches (e.g. Agile, waterfall).
Ability to drive collaboration and decision making through the development of a strong team dynamic to foster alignment and commitment to shared goals and responsibilities.
Exceptional and well-practiced communication (verbal, written, listening), inter-personal and influencing skills at various levels of the organization.
Confident in effectively communicating and reaching agreement with stakeholders as well as navigating ambiguous, changeable, and complex environments to achieve desired outcomes.
Ability to distill and present complex data to inform and influence a wide range of stakeholders.
