State of Massachusetts Program Coordinator III - Technical Designer - MassCor in Milford, Massachusetts
Duties: MassCor Industries is looking for a technical design artist, proficient in current creative and technical software. Knowledge and skillset using Adobe Illustrator, Photoshop, and InDesign, as well as Website building/coding skills required to assist MassCor Operations, Marketing & Sales as well as customer design work. Management of MassCor rebranding efforts including producing imagery, marketing and promotional materials, signage and labeling, and product specifications as needed as well as keeping continued communication with industries shops for internal ordering needs. Management of MassCor website, update and maintain as needed, ensuring consistency of information across marketing platforms, and overseeing the addition and deletion of information as needed.Manage and update MassCor’s page on the DOC Intranet, update and maintain as needed.Supervise and train new and developing Marketing Coordinator personnel by providing instruction on design software applications, current best marketing practices as relevant to the department and MassCor, branding consistency, and other topics as needed. Individual should be self-motivated with a high level of creativity and concept ideas. Must have the ability to develop complex web and digital design, as well as quickly learn and apply new software skills and machinery knowledge to meet specifications. Research and develop new technology advancements for shop use. Candidate must be willing to work in multiple locations; position will require local travel to various institutional locations to supervise and train staff and inmates on new technologies and equipment across a variety of topics and disciplines.Assist with installation and system configurations of both software and hardware applications. Ability to assist and identify software and hardware concerns in a timely manner. Management of all MassCor Virtual Private Networks for Industries, Fiscal, and Sales credentials. Remain the primary contact to the vendor to update and validate VPNs as needed. Manage and update staff passwords on multiple interfaces such as MassCor computer, DOC Intranet, and DOC computer. Enter resolution management tickets for Sales and Operations technological issues and needs into the ServiceNow system in accordance with EOTSS policy. Order technology-related office supplies, enter and track order progress through the OPAS system in accordance with EOTSS and Fiscal policy. Management of relationship with the Massachusetts Registry of Motor Vehicle License Plate contract and all associated duties including but not limited to license plate design, regulation updates and changes on decals, ordering materials, and maintaining liaison-like relationship with RMV Executives.Manage and maintain relationships with other divisions and agencies to provide design assistance and mitigate needs to encourage and foster revenue.Perform all other duties as required. Preferred Qualifications: High Level experience in Adobe Creative Suite including Photoshop, Illustrator, and Indesign, and Website Design with strong artistic, creative thinking, specification understanding and problem-solving skills. Understanding of computer networks, servers and system management required. Ability to balance multiple competing priorities and deadlines, excellent organizational skills, as well as the ability to track deliver on multiple projects/deadlines tasks. Strong communication skillsshould be self-motivated able to work independently or as part of a team. Ability to understand and follow instructions precisely. Comments: This is a Civil Service position. Please note that salaries for union positions are determined according to the provisions of the respective collective bargaining agreement. MINIMUM ENTRANCE REQUIREMENTS: Applicants must have at least (A) four years of full-time, or equivalent part-time, professional, administrative or managerial experience in business administration, business management or public administration the major duties of which involved program management, program administration, program coordination, program planning and/or program analysis, and (B) of which at least one year must have been in a supervisory capacity, or (C) any equivalent combination of the required experience and the substitutions below. Substitutions: I. A Bachelor's degree with a major in business administration, business management or public administration may be substituted for a maximum of two years of the required (A) experience.* II. A Graduate degree with a major in business administration, business management or public administration may be substituted for a maximum of three years of the required (A) experience.* III. A Bachelor's or higher degree with a major other than in business administration, business management or public administration may be substituted for a maximum of one year of the required (A) experience. Education toward such a degree will be prorated on the basis of the proportion of the requirements actually completed.
