Description

Robert Half Legal Permanent Placement is seeing a Paralegal on the south shore of Boston who will be a key team member who reports to their assigned Attorney(s) and the Site Director. They are responsible for ensuring utmost effectiveness for the attorney(s) through direct client communications, maintenance of case files, requesting and summarizing medical records, conducting research, and preparing case trials.

Job Skills and Abilities:

• Strong prelitigation skills

• Ability to compile and interpret medical chronologies

• Proficient in crafting insurance demand letters

• Some experience working with and providing robust support to 1-2 attorneys

Responsibilities:

• Handling all telephone communications for the assigned attorney

• Transcribing, formatting, inputting, editing, retrieving and transmitting text, data and images

• Coordinating case preparations

• Requesting medical records from relevant medical institutions

• Summarizing medical records for proceedings

• Conducting research with minimal supervision

• Liaising and communicating with insurance companies

• Filing and tracking automobile claims

• Communicating and obtaining information on behalf of attorney(s)

• Keeping client and attorney information confidential

• Adding value to the position by undertaking new and different tasks

• Maintaining client files and potentially training new paralegals

  Requirements

Requirements:

• Minimum of 2-year experience required, but 5-year experience is preferred

• Bilingual proficiency is a plus

• Must possess strong interpersonal, organizational and administrative skills.
