DUTIES: Will be responsible for preparing, seasoning, and cooking soups, meats, vegetables, desserts, and other food items in a restaurant, washing dishes and cooking materials by machine or hand, and maintaining kitchen work areas and equipment in clean condition. ?Will report directly to the Executive Chef at Stanmar, Inc. ? On-the-job training is provided. ?No pre-employment drug screening/background check is required, but employer reserves the right to perform drug screening/background checks during the employment period, if warranted, per the employee handbook. ?Employer does not provide daily transportation to and from worksite/residence. REQUIREMENTS: Six (6) months of culinary experience in a fine-dining or high-volume environment at a high-end restaurant, resort, or private club required SCHEDULE: 40hrs p/wk. Work schedule can vary and can include evening, weekend, and holiday hours. Work may be performed on any day of the week from Monday - Sunday. HOURS: Example shifts: 6:00am-2:00pm, 11:00am-7:00pm, and/or 3:00pm-11:00pm. Shift hours may vary. WAGE: \$19.58 - \$21.95 p/hr, paid bi-weekly. When available, overtime is paid at \$29.37 - \$32.93 p/hr. A single workweek will be used to compute wages due. LOCATION(S): Local Office is located at 321 Commonwealth Road, Suite 201, Wayland, MA 01778. All jobs are located on Nantucket Island or Dukes County, MA. Workers are assigned to one worksite and rarely travel between worksites (less than 5% of the time), however if necessary, transportation between worksites will be provided. LODGING: Employer-provided housing is offered and optional. If accepted, costs for housing and utilities will be paid directly to the employer via electronic deposit. Cost is up to \$175 p/wk for housing and utilities combined, depending on the type of housing accepted and the weeks employed. If employee accepts housing, a one-time fee of up to \$150 will be required to cover cleaning costs, which employee will pay directly to employer. If voluntarily elected by employee, employer may provide a cash advance to cover employee?s initial expenses, which would then be recouped through payroll deductions in installments over the employment period as agreed to by employee. ADDITIONAL BENEFITS: Optional benefits may be offered to worker, for worker?s sole benefit, including but not limited to health insurance, dental insurance, and 401K.
