Robert Half is seeking candidates for a full-time Staff Accountant position, which will become a critical part of an innovative a distribution/Medical device company. They are looking for a candidate with system implementation, upgrade or process improvements experience in addition to accounting. A desire to rise to the challenge and the ability to manage multiple components are must.

In this Staff Accountant role, it will be critical for you to process invoices, prepare journal entries, monthly and year-end closings, bank reconciliation, fixed asset maintenance, and general ledger reconciliation as well as assisting with deferred revenue.

How you will make an impact

• Regular maintenance and reconciliation of journal entries

• Assist with Deferred Revenue

• Compose thorough journal entries and account reconciliations which include, but are not limited to, cash, prepaid expenses, and payroll

• Assist with process improvements

• Handle intercompany transactions, billings, and reconciliation

• Support the month end, quarter end and year end closing process, which includes monthly financial close workbook preparation

• Invoicing

• Ad hoc reporting and performing special projects upon request

• Contribute to the implementation, maintenance and adherence to internal controls and accounting procedures ensuring compliance with GAAP

• Conduct month end close and compose journal entries with minimal supervision

  Requirements

• Demonstrated ability to work in a dynamic and constantly changing company environment

• Strong analytical skills, with the ability to exercise good judgment and make decisions based on accurate and timely analysis

• Skilled with ERP systems

• Deep understanding of bank reconciliations

• Accounts Receivable (AR) experience highly desired

• Proven knowledge of Excel Formulas

• Deferred Revenue experience

• Month end closings experience required

• Customer invoices experience

• 3+ years of recent and relevant accounting experience

• BA/BS or equivalent in Accounting, Finance or Economics

• High attention to detail
