Description

We are seeking an Assistant Controller for our client in Needham, Massachusetts. This role plays an essential part in our finance and accounting operations, reporting directly to the Controller, and is crucial in supporting our company's growth. The Assistant Controller will be involved in various aspects of financial management, including the month-end closing process, general ledger maintenance, financial analysis and forecasting, and interfacing with external auditors. Responsibilities:

• Assist with the month-end closing process, ensuring timely completion and accuracy

• Maintain the general ledger, ensuring all entries are accurate and up-to-date

• Prepare, review, and analyze Profit & Loss statements on a monthly basis

• Perform financial consolidations across various business units

• Review and manage company contracts, providing accounting insights where necessary

• Foster clear communication and strong relationships with internal and external stakeholders

• Interface with external auditors for the annual audit process

• Play a crucial role in financial analysis and forecasting exercises

• Use accounting software systems to manage and analyze financial data

• Handle accounting functions including accounts payable and receivable, and auditing.

Requirements

• Must hold a minimum of 6 years of experience

• Proficiency in using Accounting Software Systems is essential

• Proficiency in handling Accounting Functions

• Experience in managing Accounts Payable (AP) and Accounts Receivable (AR)

• Must have hands-on experience in Auditing

• Experience in Billing Functions is required
