How will you make an impact?

The Head of PMO and PPI Business System reports into the VP/GM will be based remotely and in proximity to either MA or CA sites.

This position is responsible for leading the Advanced Therapy site’s Project Management Office (PMO) and Continuous Improvement Business System (PPI). Reporting to the VP/GM, he/she provides the leadership, critical thinking, and results focus to reliably meet and/or exceed the sites production targets while achieving high levels of performance and driving an empowering and strong continuous improvement culture. The Head PPI and PMO will define and deploy operational excellence tools and systems that empower our colleagues to drive innovation and improvement to address barriers to execution. In addition, this role will be responsible for establishing the PMO managing the strategic project portfolio ensuring approved projects are led effectively to completion – on-time, within budget, with planned benefits attained. This position requires an individual capable of partnering across the organization to manage a fast-paced production environment and deliver exceptional service to our clients

What will you do?

  • Lead the development, deployment, and measurement of the site’s PPI stragetic objectives

  • Lead/work with functional teams to streamline processes to improve the customer experience, enable profitable growth and become more efficient

  • Continually challenge the status quo and persistently dig for improvement opportunities and lead/develop team to do the same

  • Lead a team of site project managers and PPI specialists in completing projects by a set deadline to uphold site initiatives

  • Establish a passion for operational excellence at the site and drive innovation with respect to system, process and technology improvements

How will you get here?

  • Bachelor's degree required Master’s degree preferred

  • 8 + years of related work experience

Experience

  • Demonstrated ability to lead cross-functional teams and collaborate across the business.

  • Excellent written and oral communication skills both internal and external.

  • Consistent track record for developing, training, and coaching teams.

  • Self-directed leader with a shown ability to lead/influence across and up into the organization without direct reporting responsibility.

  • A Lean Professional with extensive experience and a ‘hands-on’ track record of implementing successful TPS-based business systems including elements such as:

  • Lean Leadership (Daily Management, Leader Standard Work, and Gemba Walks)

  • Strategy Deployment and Value-stream mapping

  • Kaizen events on standard work, cell design, process and product 3P, Value-Analysis/Value Engineering, error-proofing, material flow, Heijunka, and Kanban.

  • Expertise in problem-solving utilizing a formal program/process
