Southcoast Federal Credit Union Administrative Assistant/Office Manager in New Bedford, Massachusetts

POSITION SUMMARY: Under general direction of the President/CEO, perform a wide variety coordination for the effective operation of the credit union. Ensures repetitive tasks are completed as required and provides linear corrections to ensure projects are completed as scheduled. Functional oversite of all management staff, including the President/CEO. Implements task recording platform and meets regularly with assignees to determine resources required for completion. Implements Compliance assignment platform to ensure organizational readiness to meet regulatory requirements at least 60 days prior to effective date. Meets regularly and provides updates to CEO to ensure highest-level oversite. Provides Administrative duties to President/CEO. ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS: Responsible for oversite of all regularly scheduled task that effect the organization at the corporate and regulatory level. Ensures scheduling platform is comprehensive and tracks all regular and project-based tasks to ensure Compliance and on-time completion of tasks by management personnel. Counsel assigned employees as needed to bring the task back to its linear track. Assign and oversee the Continuity Platform to ensure topical compliance is available to each specific area of organization and provide overview reporting to President/CEO of upcoming regulations and on-going efforts to remain compliant with regulatory agencies of the credit union. Ensure that best possible workflow is maintained within all Credit Union areas making changes, modifications, etc., as needed. Responsible for maintaining best possible internal and external communications regarding all services provided by the Credit Union to members (both present and potential), Credit Union staff, Board of Directors, various Committees, etc. Work in close cooperation with the President/CEO, management level staff and various Credit Union Committees regarding all aspects of Credit Union operation. Lead the credit union in gathering all information for Auditors and Examiners from appropriate staff members when required. Implement approved policies governing the operation of the Credit Union as determined on an as needed basis through the Board of Directors, various by-laws, statutes, rules of the Federal National Credit Union Administration and other state and local organizations, etc. Ensure the preparations of a variety of reports for the senior management are completed through eh effective utilization of management staff. Provide Administrative duties to the President/CEO as needed. EDUCATION, TRAINING AND EXPERIENCE: A Bachelors Degree in a related field or the equivalent knowledge and experience is required. Equal to completion of four years of college. Duties require managerial and administrative background. Requires understanding of basic Accounting procedures. Position requires interest in the welfare of people. Duties require a thorough understanding of the Credit Union philosophy. Training and/or experience in various communication techniques and methods is required. A minimum of five years up to and including ten years of progressively responsible and related experience is required.
