Job Title: Cleanroom Operator

Job Description

Inspect medical products within a cleanroom setting while wearing a lab coat and glasses. This role is critical in ensuring the quality and safety of medical devices through meticulous inspection and adherence to strict protocols.

Responsibilities

• Read and interpret mechanical drawings, specifications, procedures, and inspection sheets to complete inspections.

• Verify that measuring equipment is calibrated properly and alert the Supervisor or Manager if equipment validity is in question.

• Complete necessary paperwork such as data sheets, lab requests, and Non-Conformance Material Reports (NCMRs), either electronically or in hard copy.

• Conduct required read and record data sheets, first article inspections, or other documented inspections as necessary.

• Interpret sample size from a standard AQL (Acceptable Quality Limit) table.

• Utilize computers and basic Microsoft Applications for inspection documentation.

• Perform other inspection and/or production functions as required.

Essential Skills

• 1-3 years of mechanical inspection experience using a wide variety of equipment and tolerances to at least the 5th decimal point.

• Ability to read and interpret mechanical drawings, specifications, procedures, and inspection sheets.

• Proficiency in verifying calibration of measuring equipment.

• Experience in completing data sheets, lab requests, and NCMRs.

• Familiarity with computers and basic Microsoft Applications.

• Capability to perform first article inspections and documented inspections.

Additional Skills & Qualifications

• Experience with quality assurance, quality inspection, and quality control.

• Proficiency in using micrometers, calipers, blueprints, and microscopes.

• Experience in medical device assembly and production.

• Knowledge of cleanroom protocols and machine operation.

• Forklift operation experience is a plus.

Work Environment

Work within a cleanroom environment with stringent protocols to ensure product safety. The job includes various shifts: 1st shift (Monday – Friday 7:30 AM – 3:30 PM), 2nd shift (Monday – Friday 3:30 PM – 12:00 AM), and 3rd shift (Sunday – Thursday 11:00 PM – 7:30 AM).
