Ahead, INC. IT Support Specialist in New Bedford, Massachusetts

VIRTUAL RECRUITMENT BEING HELD ON WEDNESDAY, APRIL 21 FROM 10AM TO 12PM The IT Support Specialist provides technical support for internal staff and sales representatives along with support for IT systems and servers. Technical support includes troubleshooting and configuring a variety of software systems and hardware platforms, such as Windows 7/8/10, Windows Servers, Linux servers, Apple/Macs, and other enterprise systems. This is a great opportunity for the right person. Essential Duties and Responsibilities: Troubleshoot issues involving PCs, Macs, mobile devices, enterprise servers and printing/coping systems. Assist with updating website content with potential for website development as well. Provide technical support for trade show events. Work with IT staff to plan and implement information management systems and projects. Education and Experience: Associate?s Degree, Bachelor?s Degree, or equivalent preferred. Active Directory experience a plus. In addition to IT skills, the ideal candidate is a person with a strong motivation to learn and passion for technology. Minimum 1 year experience. Licenses and Certifications: MCSE Certification is desired. Skills/Qualifications: Proficiency with Windows desktop OS (XP/7/8/10); Windows Servers (2003,2008, 2012, 2016+) also desired. Familiarity with Apple/Mac Oses a plus. Linux/Unix experience a plus Proficiency and/or continues to learn how to use operating system command line tools. Experience with Windows batch/powershell, and Unix/Linux shell scripting languages, Perl, Java Script, HTML, CSS, XML a plus. Ability to multi-task under pressure in a high-volume, fast-paced environment. Self-motivation and the ability to take direction and complete tasks with little supervision.
