Child & Family Services Mobile Crisis Coordinator in New Bedford, Massachusetts
Job description The Adult/Youth Mobile Crisis Coordinator works as a member of a multi-disciplinary team to provide immediate short-term relief to individuals suffering from an acute psychiatric episode. S/he is directly responsible to the AMCI-YMCI Program Director. SUNDAY - THURSDAY 3:00PM-11:00PM Required Education and Experience The person holding this position must possess a degree in Social Work, Psychology or related field. Must be license eligible. Responsibilities: Possess good time management skills Complete intake data form by telephone or in person either on site or at outreach locations. Confirm health care coverage. Conduct comprehensive mental health status exam utilizing an admissions/screening instrument which includes providing a diagnosis in accordance with the DSM V. Telephone screening and consultations. Coordinate evaluation assignments based on ES activity, clinician specialties, client clinician match, clinicians need to complete paperwork from previous eval, etc. Coordinate follow-up schedule and assign clinicians as needed. Assure even distribution of support work to all clinicians ie making copies, making charts etc. Process disposition of cases with clinicians, involve doc on call and child doc on call as needed. Provide clinical supervision as needed. Collect data, process statistical information as needed Process ESP forms as needed. Meet regularly with program director Assure that the working environment is orderly and clean Perform Administrator on call duties Participate in regularly scheduled clinical supervision, staff meetings, staff development and training curriculum Reasonable accommodations may be made to enable individuals with disabilities to perform these essential functions.
