Job Details Description Behavioral Health Clinician Program/Location: High Point New Bedford Education/Licensure: Bachelor\'s in Social Science, Counseling or Social Work or LADAC Pay Range: Starting at \$28/hour (Education, experience, & licensure dependent) Status/Shift: Full Time - Tuesday through Saturday 1-9:30PM Clinician Requirements Excellent verbal and written communications skills An understanding of the relationship between substance abuse and mental health issues and/or self-help programs Diagnostic, assessment skills and case management ability Promote and enhance ones knowledge about the symptoms of psychiatric illness and addiction Interagency collaboration Ability to facilitate a group/lecture Ability to set limits and enforce rules An understanding of boundaries and ethics Computer skills. Clinician Duties & Responsibilities Maintains and submits any current Licensure or Certificate necessary for the performance of the position Comply with Federal Regulations, 42 CFR Part 2, Confidentiality of Alcohol Abuse Policy and HIPAA Regulations Participate in Treatment Team Meetings Maintain assigned caseload; Providing direct care to patients ? including assessments of the new patients, individual counseling, discharge planning, treatment plans, daily progress notes, daily groups, group note completion and completion of bio-psychosocial assessments Responsible for each assigned patients medical records. All records are to be professional, complete and thorough with entries made in a timely manners Provide direct care to the patients. This care will include, but not limited to, individual counseling, group facilitation, lectures, orientation for new patient?s, discharge & aftercare planning, & case management of patients assigned Responsible for linking patient?s with aftercare services prior to discharge and aiding the patient and his/her family access outpatient services when appropriate Attend all unit, facility meetings and case conferences as directed by the Clinical Director Attend mandatory trainings Responsible for continued education in the field of substance abuse and related courses Responsible for contacting the insurance company for authorization, as needed Utilize walkie-talkie as campus responder Utilize standards precautions at all times Demonstrates behaviors that recognize the rights of patients as defined by the patient?s rights Other duties as assigned by the Program Director, the Clinical Director, and/or the Senior Clinician Clinician Qualifications Bachelor?s or Master?s Degree &/or independently licensed in a related field Minimum of one (1) year of supervised substance abuse counseling experience
