Schrödinger Clinical Pharmacologist (Senior Manager or Associate Director) in New York

We are looking to hire a Senior Manager/Associate Director of Clinical Pharmacology to join us in our mission to discover and develop drugs that improve human health through the use of breakthrough computational methods. We are seeking outstanding individuals to join our drug discovery group and contribute to our rapidly expanding portfolio of drug discovery programs and collaborations.

Our drug discovery and early clinical development team includes a cross-functional group of scientists and drug developers with experience working on all common target classes and therapeutic areas. The group is enhanced by more than 100 software developers and engineers as well as a large-scale compute infrastructure to apply our proprietary physics-based drug design and optimization platform. Several programs we have worked on have achieved Development Candidates, including progression to clinical development and FDA approval. What you will do:

  • Develop and execute clinical pharmacology strategies to support drug development programs, ensuring alignment with overall clinical development plans

  • Collaborate with cross-functional stakeholders including DMPK, translational medicine, clinical development, clinical operations, regulatory, CMC, and project management to ensure completion of clinical pharmacology deliverables

  • Act as the lead clinical pharmacologist on study teams to support clinical development

  • Lead the planning, design, execution, analysis, and reporting of clinical pharmacology studies (such as food effect, BA/BE, human ADME, drug interactions, renal and hepatic impairment, etc.)

  • Represent the department as a subject matter expert on cross-functional project teams and be able to influence team strategy

  • Author and review relevant sections of clinical study protocols, analysis plans, and study reports

  • Contribute to regulatory submissions and health authority agency interactions relevant to clinical pharmacology

  • Plan and perform data analyses, including NCA, population PK and PK/PD analyses, and exposure-response analyses, and use MIDD approaches for efficient clinical development of assets

  • Develop in-house standards, process, work instructions and SOPs for clinical pharmacology and pharmacometric analyses

What you should have:

  • PhD, PharmD, or equivalent in Life Sciences, Clinical Pharmacology, Pharmacokinetics, pharmaceutical sciences, or a related field

  • Three to five years of experience in clinical pharmacology and pharmacokinetic-pharmacodynamic modeling within the pharmaceutical or biotechnology industry

  • Robust knowledge of concepts in pharmacokinetics, pharmacodynamics, translational sciences and PK/PD data analyses

  • Hands-on experience and knowledge of standard PK and PD data analysis softwares such as Phoenix, R/R Studio, Monolix, NONMEM etc

  • Proven track record of successful contributions to drug development programs as a clinical pharmacologist

  • Knowledge of various clinical pharmacology regulations and guidelines and data standards requirements for clinical pharmacology and data management standards

  • Experience in oncology drug development is a plus

Estimated base salary range: $150,000 - $220,000 (NYC only). Actual compensation package is dependent on a number of factors, including, for example, experience, education, degrees held, market data, and business needs.
