Bear Mountain Health Care Admissions / Marketing Part Time in Newburyport, Massachusetts

This is a Part-Time - 20 Hour position. This person is charged with overseeing admissions, marketing, public relations, customer service as well as processing and overseeing all admissions in the facility. This position requires an extremely organized and efficient person who can multitask in a calm and consistent way. Professional behavior is required at all times. Excellent phone etiquette is needed as well as superior communication skills. This person will be interacting daily with their facility Administrator, DNS , Admissions, Business Office and Social Service personnel as well as meeting and interacting with a variety of people from the community. They will be the point person between Bear Mountain nurse liaisons and hospital discharge planners. Understanding of financials is critical. This person must maintain referral logs, wait lists and receipts in accordance to state and federal guidelines. Must also maintain accurate bed boards, distinguish payer source, complete insurance verification and patient placement. This person must be able to work independently and have high energy. This person will be the point person between Brigham Healthcare and Rehab and the community.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS

· Receive and process all referrals efficiently and timely

· Verify insurance through all resources ie: CWF, Medicare, Medicaid, M/C

· Obtain all necessary paperwork from Managed Care Companies including authorization and denials prior to admission

· Communicate with facility, hospitals and liaisons regarding patient status, availability, and potential admissions.

· Update bed boards daily

· Maintain referral logs and wait lists per state and federal guidelines

· Monitor Admissions tracking board and communicate any issues or necessary updates and changes daily

· Verify sexual offender status

· Obtain W-10

· Ensure that Discharge summary are obtained

· Bed-Hold follow up and documentation

· Medication Cost Out in conjunction with the facility

· Ensure that specialized equipment needs are met for each admission

· 100% accuracy and completion of Benefits verification

· Maintaining and running all things related to marketing the facility

* Overseeing customer service
  • Respond to requests for information from the media or designate another appropriate spokesperson or information source.

  • Study the objectives, promotional policies and needs of organizations to develop public relations strategies that will influence public opinion or promote ideas, products and services.

  • Plan and direct development and communication of informational programs to maintain favorable public perceptions of an organization's accomplishments and agenda.

  • Establish and maintain cooperative relationships with representatives of community, consumer, employee, and public interest groups.

  • Prepare or edit organizational publications for internal and external audiences, including employee newsletters and corporate reports on Admissions.

  • Confer with Admissions personnel to produce or coordinate production of advertisements and promotions.

  • Consult with advertising agencies or staff to arrange promotional campaigns in all types of media for products, organizations, or individuals.

  • Purchase advertising space and time as required to promote Facilities services, results or agenda.
