The Radiology leadership team comes from varied backgrounds including larger Boston-based academic medical centers. Are you ready to become a part of our dynamic Interventional Radiology team?

Responsibilities include but are not limited to:

  • Follows patient safety goals regarding time out procedures.

  • Follows standard procedures for interventional radiology studies.

  • Prior to procedures, evaluates patient’s history, providing pre-procedure instructions in consultation with the radiologist, and post-procedure education and discharge instructions.

  • Applies and monitors the principles of aseptic technique.

  • Follows established standards and protocols for IV conscious sedation.

  • Serves as liaison between interventional radiology and physician practices, coordinating the scheduling of procedures.

  • Serves as liaison between diagnostic imaging and the nursing units.

  • Works collaboratively with cardiac cath lab staff, coordinating schedules, patient care, and providing coverage as needed.

  • Ensures patient safety by applying principles of proper body alignment and the safe use of equipment.

Scheduled Hours: 40 hr/wk

Work Shift: Day Shift

Education Required: Must be a graduate of an accredited nursing program. BNS preferred.

Experience: previous experience as an Interventional or Cardiac Cath RN required.

Licenses, Registrations, Certifications Required:

  • State of Massachusetts RN licensure (or eligibility)

  • BLS Certification

  • ACLS Certification
