Bright Horizons Manager, Academic and Student Support - Healthcare (remote) in Newton, United States

As the Manager, Academic and Student Support - Healthcare , you will advise and assist employees of healthcare clients who have contracted with EdAssist regarding the options related to their educational goals. You will carry a caseload of healthcare clients, and advise and assist with a particular focus on cutting educational costs and shortening the length of time needed to complete a degree or certificate program. This role is Remote.

What you will be doing:

  • Offer sound advice to employees who are facing complicated educational decisions unique to adult learners, and look for ways to shorten the time it takes to complete their education.

  • Help employees with diverse personal educational backgrounds choose degrees and certificate programs that best meet both employee and employer needs.

  • Provide an excellent and satisfying advising experience for employees.

  • Leverage our own network of negotiated discounts at accredited college and universities to help employers and employees save time and money when appropriate.

  • Build relationships within that network in order to gain valuable insight into the educational process and learn how employees can navigate the institutions efficiently and effectively.

  • Research and develop expertise and accompanying resources on popular choices and industry specific options based on client needs.

  • Play a key role in developing and amending our advising approach as EdAssist continues to grow.

What we hope you will bring to this role:

  • Bachelor’s degree, Master’s preferred

  • Minimum of 5 years related experience with a nursing/medical-related higher education background (Admissions, Career Counseling or Academic Advising) required

  • Strong Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint) and internet research skills required

  • Must be well versed in the national landscape of healthcare

  • Self-starter with excellent communication and people skills

  • Ability to draft clear, concise and grammatically-correct communications to employees & other constituents

  • A positive, “can-do” attitude

  • Self-starter and problem solver

  • Motivated to meet and exceed goals as an individual as well as contribute to the success of a larger team

  • Strong organizational and time management skills

  • Ability to work and prioritize in a fast paced and highly dynamic environment

  • Polished presentation and public speaking skills

Compensation Range:

The annual salary range for this role is: $53,000 - $58,000

Actual compensation offers will depend on a variety of factors including experience, education and training, certifications, geography, and other relevant business or organizational factors.
