Recently named by The Boston Globe as one ofThe Top Places to Work in Massachusetts, our community based, mission-driven hospice and palliative care organization seeks a Per Diem Home Care Aide to join its expanding home care aide services department. Travel is required for this position. Care is provided in patient’s private homes and residential facilities throughout Greater Boston and parts of Metrowest.

Job Responsibilities:

The Per Diem Home Care Aide (HCA) provides hospice client care within their scope of practice consistent with the plan of care as outlined by the Nursing Care Coordinator and in compliance with Good Shepherd Community Care guidelines.

Education, Skills and Experience:

  • Certified Home Health Aide (CHHA), or

  • Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) in Massachusetts with a minimum of 75 hours of clinical study, including classroom training and a minimum of 16 hours of supervised practical training.

  • Experienced working with diverse populations.

  • Is professional, reliable, organized, and demonstrates effective communication skills.

  • Understands the importance of providing quality service and compassionate end-of-life care for clients.
