Bright Horizons Procurement Contracts Specialist in Newton, Massachusetts

Primary Purpose

Responsible for supporting all aspects of various Procurement initiatives that include RFP development and contracting in support of corporate functions including IT, Education, Marketing, and Facilities, Office Services. Manage repository of supplier agreements, ensure compliance with Bright Horizons standard terms and conditions, summarizes basic agreements for review by VPs and business owners across corporate functions, Sourcing Managers, VP of Procurement, and obtains final approval by Bright Horizon’s legal counsel.

Essential Functions/Responsibilities

  • Manages a repository of all Bright Horizons agreements, develops contract summaries for review by key constituent groups. Interacts with both internal teams including IT, Facilities, Education, Marketing, Office Services, and external personnel, both within Bright Horizons and with our vendor partners.

  • Managing Contract Renewals by working closely with Sourcing/Contract Manager, engaging Legal, IT Security, and Stakeholders as appropriate.

  • Reviewing and storing Non-Disclosure Agreements.

  • Maintain Template agreements and work with Legal in order to make sure all terms are up to date.

  • Work with Procurement team Sourcing/Contract Managers to draft new agreements based on templates.

  • Engage with Bright Horizons stakeholders as needed to help direct contract processes.

Job Requirements – Education/Experience

Bachelor's Degree - Required

Master's Degree - JD or JD Candidate - Preferred

5 years of contract administration or legal experience - Preferred

Additional Job Requirements

  • The ideal candidate must exhibit high intellectual acumen and curiosity, and should also demonstrate most, if not all, of the following skills and experience:

  • JD or JD candidate preferred

  • Must be detail oriented and have excellent interpersonal, organizational, analytical, problem solving, and written and oral communication skills.

  • Experience required in basic contract review and interpretation of master services agreements, and implementation of contracts and service agreements

  • Candidate must possess excellent desktop application skills including Excel, Word, Outlook, Access, PowerPoint, Adobe and Oracle.

  • Must have proven ability to initiate and manage multiple tasks under competing deadlines and shifting priorities.

  • Must show ability to work independently as well as function as a member of a team in a rapidly changing environment.
