Bright Horizons Senior Director, Talent Management in Newton, Massachusetts

The Senior Director, Talent Management is responsible for building and successfully implementing best-in-class talent management processes and solutions. This includes, consulting with HR Business Partners, colleagues in OD, DEI and Learning, and Business leaders in the areas of talent strategy and plans, senior leadership development and talent management (i.e., succession planning, individual and organizational assessments, career development, and performance management). This role works closely with the Total Rewards team and HRIS on the evolution of annual processes like Performance Management.

What you will be doing:

  • Work closely with the VP of Talent and Organizational Development to develop the Talent and Workforce strategy for the company and individual lines of business and functions

  • Develop and gain leadership buy-in for the programs to on-board, engage, develop, and retain senior leaders and high-impact employees.

  • Drive best practices in succession planning and partner with other HR functions (e.g. HR Business Partners, Total Rewards, HRIS and Reporting, DE&I, and Learning and OD peers) to ensure that a diverse bench of talent is identified and developed to meet future organizational needs.

  • Reduce barriers and institute programs and tools to promote internal mobility.

  • Inform talent-related technology implementations (i.e., Workday)

  • Serve as an internal consultant and facilitate the design, implementation and management of customized executive development experiences (e.g. executive coaching, non-profit board participation, external education, etc.) and delivery of assessment tools (Hogan, Korn Ferry, StrengthsFinder, 360 Assessments, etc.)

  • Analyze business trends and metrics including Workday data and employee experience survey results to develop world-class innovative solutions to drive organizational performance.

This is an individual contributor position and receives limited direction and exercises independent judgment within the scope of the role. The role will regularly influence cross-functional teams.

Job Requirements

What we hope you will bring to this role:

  • Bachelor's Degree in I/O Psychology, Organizational Behavior, or a similar field

  • 10 years in Talent Management or Organizational Development

  • Master's Degree in I/O Psychology, Organizational Behavior, or a similar field with 5+ years of experience (preferred)

  • Ability to create a clear and compelling vision and gain buy-in.

  • Ability to make decisions independently.

  • Able to influence others positively and without authority to achieve results.

  • Strong teamwork, communication & cross-functional collaboration skills

  • Ability to perform in a fast-paced environment

  • Demonstrated success in a high-growth organization

  • Ability to show excellent judgment, creative problem-solving, and training/coaching

This role pays up to $140K yearly. It is highly preferred to be in-person at our beautiful Newton, Massachusetts office and comes with all the benefits Bright Horizons has to offer like health, dental, vision and more!
