As a Senior Manager of Educational Counseling, you will guide our clients through the college admissions process, helping students present and maximize their unique strengths, accomplishments, and potential in a student-focused and ethical way. Our team is made up of former admissions and financial aid officers who are dedicated to supporting every kind of student as they seek their best-fit colleges. What you will be doing:

  • Support students and families through all aspects of the college admission process, including managing expectations and goals

  • Contribute to College Coach’s growth, employee satisfaction, and inclusive environment

  • Work with one Bright Horizons Scholar annually, providing pro bono support to an under-resourced student through one of our community partnerships

  • Build on your admission experience to work with a diverse group of students and parents at various socioeconomic levels and help them successfully navigate the education system

  • Present on a full spectrum of educational topics, such as admission to four-year colleges, guidance for STEM applicants, and admissions basics for families new to the process

  • Collaborate with an experienced and engaged team of admissions and college finance experts to maintain up-to-date knowledge in the field

  • Work a flexible schedule, including some evening or weekend appointments

What we hope you will bring to this role:

  • Bachelor’s degree (required)

  • 2 plus years of experience in selective college admissions required; college counseling experience preferred

  • Availability to start May/June 2024

  • Consistent and Reliable access to phone coverage and internet service

  • While this is a remote role, west coast locations and Pacific Time Zone work hours are preferred

  • Passion for higher education and a commitment to increasing education access for a broad constituency of students

  • The ability to reach all audiences and meet families where they are in the process

  • A high degree of integrity, creativity, and strategic thinking, plus great time management and a willingness to embrace flexibility

  • Confident presence, strong relationship building skills, and a professional manner

  • Strong editing and writing ability coupled with attention to detail, excellent organizational skills

  • Superior presentation skills in both large group and individual settings

  • Interest in working in a collaborative, team-oriented environment and commitment to the principles of diversity, equity, and inclusion

  • Comfort level with technology, including Microsoft Office and internet research

Compensation Range:

The annual salary range for this role is $72,000-$82,000.

Compensation Range: $72,000 - $82,000 / year

Actual compensation offers will depend on a variety of factors including experience, education and training, certifications, geography, and other relevant business or organizational factors.
