Position Highlights: UCP of Western Massachusetts is hiring for our new Early Intervention Autism Specialty Service Provider program! The Assistant Director of Autism Services will supervise program Board Certified Behavior Analysts (BCBA), complete behavior assessments following best practices of ABA, and ensure the overall training/supervision of the paraprofessional staff within the autism EI program. 85% average minimum productivity is required. The Assistant Director reports to and is supported by the Senior Director for Early Intervention and Children's Services. Qualifications: Master's degree in special education, psychology or related human services field; Massachusetts Licensed Applied Behavior Analyst (LABA) with a minimum of two years' experience. Board Certified Behavior Analyst (BCBA) for a minimum of two years Successful completion of internship and/or formal training in the analysis of behavior and instructional strategies related to working with clients who have pervasive developmental disorders and related disorders. Demonstrates competence in behavior management skill, instructional skills, oral and written communication, organizational skills and interpersonal relations Ability to work with a variety of clients in regard to age, functionality, and with minimal direction Sensitive to the needs of persons with disabilities including being culturally sensitive to their individual needs. Maintain CPR/First Aid certification for infants and children Maintain valid driver's license, current auto insurance, availability of a private vehicle. Proficiency with Microsoft Office/Office 365 and word processing skills Comfortable with remote application such as Zoom for team meetings Ability to work flexible hours, including afternoon and evening hours A pre-employment exam including a statement of physical limitations in working with children, a negative Mantoux TB test or a clear chest x-ray and evidence of immunity for measles, mumps and rubella is required. Must have an acceptable CORI, SORI, DPPC and National Fingerprint Check. Must be able to climb, stoop, get up and down from floors, sit on floors for varying periods of time, reach with hands and arms as well a lift and move up to 40 pounds.
