HR Assistant/Clerk - Temporary, 2-3 months, P/T Salary: \$18/hr - \$23/hr Location: North Adams, MA Schedule: 20-25 hrs/wk, flexible between Mon-Fri 8:30a-5:30p Summary Description - Provides part-time clerical support to the Human Resources Department handling confidential information, including document filing, light data entry, and miscellaneous administrative tasks as assigned. - Must have good organizational skills- ** Will need to identify files & organize & label properly ** Ability to lift boxes for files and move within office setting - Possibly schedule Interviews (in-person and virtual) with candidates - The position involves attention to details in order to ensure that all work assignments receive proper follow-up and are completed in a timely and accurate manner. Essential Functions/Key Responsibilities: - Performs clerical duties for the department which includes: making copies, ordering office supplies, maintaining departmental files and records, auditing records and documents, assisting with creating new employee files, possibility scheduling interviews for candidates, and other administrative and/or project tasks as assigned. - Establishes and maintains a confidential, accurate, and employee friendly environment. Minimum Qualifications & Experience: - Must be at least 18 years of age or older - High School Diploma or equivalent - Prior experience in Human Resources, preferred. - The position requires proficiency in Google Workspace and Microsoft Office Suite, preferred - Prior experience working in Paylocity, preferred. - Experience in data entry, maintenance of document filing systems, prioritizing and organizing multiple tasks. Knowledge, Skills & Abilities/Competencies: - Ability to complete assigned tasks and projects in expected time frames. - Excellent verbal and written communication skills including ability to positively interact with others. - Ability to work part-time, flexible schedule across M-F work period. - Demonstrated ability to operate with the highest sense of confidentiality. - Excellent organizational skills. - Demonstrated attention to details. - Ability to prioritize and complete multiple tasks. - Demonstrates a professional image in all situations. - Self-starter who demonstrates initiative in recognizing and accomplishing needed tasks for the department office, preferred. Physical/Mental Requirements and Work Environment: Work Environment Description: - Works in an office setting and is generally sedentary, but may involve movement (e.g., walking, standing, or otherwise being mobile throughout the office) for brief periods of time. - May be required to occasionally independently move and handle objects up to 15 pounds. - This position requires the incumbent to work onsite at the facility to be able to perform the associated job responsibilities.
