As the Senior Tax Analyst, you will participate in our U.S. tax compliance, planning, controversy, and financial reporting efforts. You'll provide audit support, ensure processes and procedures are SOX compliant, perform tax research, and assist the Tax Director on identifying the tax implications of research and planning projects. This is an opportunity for the right person to get exposure to many areas of tax. You will build on your tax technical competence by keeping up to date on legislative and regulatory tax developments and trends. You will be involved in many aspects of the tax affairs of a $1.5B company, constantly challenged in an acquisitive company and work in a tax department with an experienced leadership group in a team-oriented environment. You will be onsite in North Andover, Ma and report to the Manager of Tax.

You Will:

  • Prepare the U.S. federal & state income tax returns, including international reporting, quarterly estimates and extensions

  • Prepare the quarterly and year-end U.S. tax provision, including investigating any discrepancies from data provided and ensuring the proper roll-forward of all U.S. deferred tax assets and liabilities

  • Identify and calculate all U.S. book/tax differences, including the Section 162(m) limitation, tax basis depreciation and amortization, Section 174, UNICAP and the R&D Credit

  • Work with multiple departments within the organization on various tax filings and projects

  • Create efficiencies within our department from a process and functionality standpoint.

  • Work directly with outside tax consultants on tax compliance and tax saving initiatives

  • Maintain tax accounts, including monthly reconciliations

  • Research and respond to notices from various tax authorities

You Have:

  • Bachelor's Degree in Accounting, Finance or a related field

  • CPA or candidate for CPA and Masters in Taxation (or MST candidate)

  • 5+ years of large corporation tax experience

While performing the duties of this job, the employee is frequently required to walk, talk, and/or hear. The employee is occasionally required to stand, sit, and use hands to finger, handle, or feel. The employee must occasionally lift and/or move up to 30 pounds. Specific vision abilities required by this job include: close vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception and ability to adjust focus.

Work Environment:

Work in both office and manufacturing environment. May occasionally be required to perform job duties outside the typical office setting.
