As an Amazon Robotics CAD System Administrator, you will manage and guide CAD/PDM/PLM applications and tools for AR product design data. The ideal candidate has experience as a CAD/PDM/PLM administrator, has provided technical assistance for CAD applications and coordinated implementation or upgrades for these applications. This candidate also should have experience in product configuration management, workflow development and process development. It is preferred for this candidate to have experience in the administration of various CAD and data analysis packages.
Key job responsibilities
System administration of various CAD/PDM/PLM systems and design analysis (Simulation, FEA, CFD) applications
System administration and aide for various geographical team locations
Data management, maintenance, end-user technical help, troubleshooting and problem solving
Development, modifications, implementation of CAD/PDM/PLM/Analytical tools software application, maintain app configuration, revision changes and updates
Workflow development, manipulation, support, improvements – full product development cycle
Software installation, system maintenance, license maintenance, upgrades and implementation planning
Development, maintaining and conducting trainings, best practices, standards, process, templates, custom scripts/interfaces
New employee onboarding, training and tool setup
Interface with IT on projects including upgrades, implementations, and deploying new software applications.
Interface with vendors, keep up to date with latest industry trends and newest features

Basic Qualifications
BS in Engineering Discipline with 4+ years of industry experience, or equivalent
Demonstrated experience with SOLIDWORKS 3D CAD
Experience in CAD administration
CAD/PDM/PLM administration or management experience
Experience maintaining CAD/PDM/PLM applications
Experience providing daily technical support in applications
Experience in the development of workflows and process
Planning/coordinating implementation or upgrades of CAD/PDM/PLM applications
Experience in engineering environment with an understanding of product development process
Desire and energy to work in a fast-paced agile environment
Preferred Qualifications
Experience in administration of SOLIDWORKS PDM Professional
Certified SOLIDWORKS Professional (CSWP)
SOLIDWORKS PDM Professional admin certificate
Proficiency with Agile Product Lifecycle Management (PLM) software, Team Center or other PLM systems
Engineering Change Process (ECO’s) experience
Experience developing and conducting training in PDM, PLM, CAD applications
Experience creating SOLIDWORKS macros
Knowledge of Electrical CAD applications
MCAD and ECAD documentation development including processes, procedures, and best practices
Project management skills – able to schedule maintenance, meetings, time management

Our compensation reflects the cost of labor across several US geographic markets. The base pay for this position ranges from $105,600/year in our lowest geographic market up to $185,000/year in our highest geographic market. Pay is based on a number of factors including market location and may vary depending on job-related knowledge, skills, and experience. Amazon is a total compensation company. Dependent on the position offered, equity, sign-on payments, and other forms of compensation may be provided as part of a total compensation package, in addition to a full range of medical, financial, and/or other benefits.
