We are seeking a Coop Electrical Engineer to develop a tool for estimating IC (Integrated Circuit) test yield.
This tool will be used to evaluate mixed signal ASIC (Application Specific ICs) designs during its development phase. The estimating tool will be made based on process technology node (i.e. 40nm-12nm), fab yield models, chip design complexity (dark vs. white area), and defect level vs. fault coverage (Williams-Brown model, etc…). The candidate will have the opportunity to do independent research, learn by interaction with engineering, and apply coding skills. This project provides the opportunity to advance innovative technical ideas.
Junior level student working towards a B.S. or
MS in Electrical Engineering.
Prior work experience is not necessary.
Good understanding of basics electrical engineering concepts.
Working knowledge of MS Windows applications (specifically Excel spreadsheet).
Visual Basic programming. Commitment to deliver tangible results.
Self-driven and capable of adhering to project schedules and an ability to meet deadlines.
Selected candidate must be willing to travel to our Agoura Hills facility for two weeks of Training upon joining .
Very Desirable: Strong math and statistics background. Critical thinking ability with the ability to learn new skills. Creativity.
Desirable: Technical writing skills.
Position location: Preferred location is North Reading MA, with ability to commute to and work from our North Reading MA offices. Would consider the right candidate with in the US for a remote setting.
