Teradyne Field Service Engineer (Teradyne, N. Reading) in North Reading, Massachusetts

Our Purpose

Teradyne is a leading supplier of automation equipment for test and industrial applications. Teradyne Automated Test Equipment (ATE) is used to test semiconductors, wireless products, data storage and complex electronic systems, which serve consumer, communications, industrial and government customers.

We are hiring a Field Service Engineer to provide post-sales technical support, troubleshooting, and repair services for existing systems or equipment.

This is a hybrid role for our HQ in North Reading, MA, great for someone in New England, preferably MA or NH as our field customers are up and down the East Coast.

** TRAVEL: 30 -40% travel required to customer locations

Opportunity Overview

  • TRAVEL- Willing to make frequent travel to customer sites within the East Coast/ US to perform preventive maintenance procedures, system level repairs, system installation, and acceptance testing of Teradyne Semiconductor Test Systems (J750, UltraFLEX+, Eagle Test)

  • Interface with various support teams within Teradyne to deliver on Teradyne's commitment to our customers

  • Provide remote technical support

  • Provide active management of assigned account needs and escalation to management

  • Make recommendations to existing product solutions to improve tester up-time and performance

All About You

  • Self-starter and good team player with good interpersonal and problem-solving skills

  • 2+ years of hands-on electro-mechanical troubleshooting and repair experience

  • Prior experience on Teradyne or any other ATE platform is a plus

  • Must be able to travel up to 30-40%

  • Good written and verbal communication skills

  • Associate's degree in Electronics/Electrical Engineering desired or relevant experience
