Thomson Country Club Line Cook in North Reading, Massachusetts

Seasonal Job, April thru November The scenic Thomson Country Club in North Reading, MA is looking for a full-time or part-time, Grille Room prep cook/line cook to join our culinary team. Qualifications include previous club and/or hotel experience, former culinary training, with extensive food knowledge. Must be available to work nights, weekends and holidays. Position will report directly to the Executive Chef. Relevant experience required. Seeking hardworking, reliable individuals with a strong desire to learn. Must be a team player, attention to detail and cleanliness Must be able to read and follow recipes, have basic knife skills, understand rudimentary cooking vocabulary and instruction, read and track tickets during service, and be able to respond to busy times positively with a \"can do\" attitude. Responsibilities ? Set up and stock stations with all necessary supplies ? Prepare food for service (e.g., chopping vegetables, butchering meat, or preparing sauces) ? Operate standard cooking equipment such as mixers, steamers, fryers, oven, stove, and grill. ? Answer, report and follow head chef or sous chef instructions ? Maintains sanitation, both personal and workstation cleanliness at all times. ? Re-stock inventory appropriately ? Ensure that food comes out in high quality and in a timely fashion ? Comply with nutrition and sanitation regulations and safety standards (ServSafe) ? Maintain a positive and professional approach with co-workers and members ? Other job-related duties, as assigned. Skills ? Proven cooking experience, including experience as a Line Chef, Restaurant Cook or Prep Cook ? Excellent understanding of various cooking methods, ingredients, equipment and procedures ? Accuracy and speed in executing assigned tasks ? Familiar with industry\'s best practices ? Any other duties assigned by management. ? Basic written and verbal communication skills ?
