Amazon Manager, Analytics, Robotic Sortation Technology in North Reading, Massachusetts

Description

You will lead a team of Business Intelligence Engineers and Data Scientists who work cross-functionally with engineering teams, program managers, and leaders throughout the organization to deliver projects aimed at characterizing and improving the performance of new robotic automation technology in Amazon's network of warehouses. In this role, you will use a combination of unified and disparate data sources to uncover insights delivered through decision-driving analytics white-papers and automated data visualizations to influence the development and deployment of cutting edge robotic technology. You will collaborate with Data Scientists, Data Engineers, and Program Managers to define and deliver world class analytics tools and insights to shape the robotic technology landscape.

Key job responsibilities

*Manage a team of Business Intelligence engineers through career development, technical development and project work.

  • Contribute to the scoping, development, and maintenance of ongoing analysis and dashboards to drive key business decisions

  • Develop and deliver whitepapers and/or ad-hoc analyses in high-ambiguity environments, making use of both quantitative and qualitative information to inform actionable insights

  • Recognize and adopt best practices in reporting and analysis: data integrity, A/B test design, A/B test analysis, validation, and documentation

  • Clearly communicate and present dashboards and analytical findings to stakeholders to support data-driven decision making

  • Create efficient SQL scripts to connect and manipulate disparate data sources to support dashboards and deep-dive analysis

  • Seek out new data sources and understand how different data streams and metrics impact the AR system

Basic Qualifications

  • 7+ years of business intelligence and analytics experience

  • 5+ years of delivering results managing a business intelligence or analytics team, including employee development and performance management experience

  • Experience with SQL

  • Experience with ETL

  • Experience with data visualization using Tableau, Quicksight, or similar tools

  • Experience with R, Python, Weka, SAS, Matlab or other statistical/machine learning software

Preferred Qualifications

  • 4+ years of working with very large data warehousing environment experience

  • 10+ years of data warehouse technical architectures, data modeling, infrastructure components, ETL/ ELT and reporting/analytic tools and environments, data structures and hands-on SQL coding experience
