Description
The Amazon Robotics Autonomous Mobility software team develops the software that powers Proteus, Amazon’s first fully autonomous warehouse robot. We looking for talented and motivated Software Development Engineers to join our growing team. You will be part of an exceptional group of engineers and scientists developing software that utilizes state-of-the-art sensor technologies and algorithms to enable safe and efficient operation of autonomous mobile robots throughout the Amazon fulfillment network. The successful candidate will be a hands-on engineer with a track record for building and maintaining high performance, scalable software systems. Experience in robotics, autonomous navigation, motion planning, machine learning, and/or control systems is a plus.

About the team
We are a multi-disciplinary team of collaborative Applied Scientists and Software Engineers with expertise in Computer Vision, SLAM, motion planning and controls. Our mission is to deliver autonomous navigation software that utilizes state-of-the-art sensor technologies and algorithms to enable safe and efficient operation of autonomous mobile robots throughout the Amazon fulfillment and transportation network. We take this mission seriously and work hard to achieve it, but we have a lot of fun along the way. After all, what's more fun than building robots?
Basic Qualifications
3+ years of full software development life cycle, including coding standards, code reviews, source control management, build processes, testing, and operations experience
Bachelor's degree in computer science or equivalent
Strong algorithm development experience
Preferred Qualifications
Experience developing software for real-time and embedded systems
Expertise in one or more of the following areas; Robotics, Motion Planning, Control Systems, Machine Learning
Skills with C++ and/or Python
Experience with ROS
Experience with AWS services and technologies
