Organization & Role
Teradyne has a new position open for a Technical Accountant. This position will report to the Technical Accounting Manager and have responsibilities involving technical accounting issues, revenue recognition, policies and procedures, finance special projects, SOX compliance, and supporting external financial reporting. This would be a great position for a big four candidate to transition into private industry.
Responsibilities
Review revenue transactions
Research accounting and financial reporting requirements, recommend accounting treatment for transactions based on such research and document the recommendation.
Assist in the completion of special projects such as potential acquisitions and implementation of processes around new SEC standards.
Assist in the preparation and review of SEC and governmental filings
Assist with the management and execution of Teradyne’s Sarbanes-Oxley Section 404 compliance program.
Update and maintain accounting policies and procedures manual; monitor consistent application across Teradyne
Monitor and ensure timely identification of and compliance with new accounting guidance, provide GAAP interpretation and document Teradyne’s conclusion.
Basic Qualifications & Skills
Big four public accounting experience (2+ years) a must
Technical accounting knowledge
Sarbanes-Oxley 404 compliance experience
Strong communication and interpersonal skills
Strong writing skills
Problem solving skills
Organized, detail-oriented and thorough
Education
Bachelor's Degree in accounting and a minimum of two (2) years relevant experience
CPA required
