Architect for Residential Construction Benefits: Dental insurance Health insurance Job Posting: Part Time/ Full Time Architect for Residential Construction Projects Position: Architect (Full-Time/Part-Time) Organization: ServiceNet Location: Northampton, MA About ServiceNet: A not-for-profit organization dedicated to providing essential services to individuals facing mental health challenges, developmental delay or disability, brain injury, homelessness, substance use issues, and other complex social challenges. With a commitment to compassion and excellence, ServiceNet serves over 8,100 individuals annually across Western Massachusetts, supported by a team of more than 1,800 dedicated employees. ServiceNet\'s real estate portfolio consists of roughly 80+ residential properties around 20 commercial properties and is constantly growing to meet the needs of the communities that we operate in. Position Summary: We are seeking a talented Architect to join our team. The Architect will play a critical role in the design and oversight of residential construction projects, ensuring that our group homes and shelters are built to the highest standards of safety, functionality, and aesthetics. This position offers the flexibility of full-time or part-time employment, depending on the candidate\'s availability and preferences. Key Responsibilities: ? Design and Planning: Develop innovative and practical architectural designs for significant renovation projects and some new construction and, ensuring compliance with all relevant codes, regulations, and nonprofit mission goals. ? Project Management: Participate in all phases of construction projects, from initial concept through completion, including budgeting, scheduling, and quality control. ? Collaboration: Work closely with internal teams, contractors, engineers, and stakeholders to ensure cohesive project execution. ? Sustainability: Incorporate sustainable and energy-efficient design principles to minimize environmental impact and operational costs. ? Compliance: Ensure all projects adhere to local, state, and federal building codes, zoning laws, and safety regulations. Respond to local, state, and federal inquiries regarding project design. Qualifications: ? Bachelor\'s or Master\'s degree in Architecture from an accredited institution. ? Licensed Architect with relevant certifications and registrations. ? Minimum of 5 years of experience in residential construction, preferably with a focus on group homes or shelters, and/or enhance accessibility. ? Proficiency in architectural design software (e.g., AutoCAD, Revit, SketchUp). ? Strong project management skills with the ability to handle multiple projects simultaneously. ? Excellent communication and interpersonal skills. ? A commitment to the mission and values of the nonprofit sector. ? Experience with sustainable design practices and LEED certification is a plus.
