Job Title: HVAC Technician Job Code: 10243 Job Location: Northampton MA (onsite) Schedule: 9/80 (Every other Friday off, with the potential for on call as needed) Job Description: Operate, maintain, troubleshoot and repair:Work will include, but not limited to, handling refrigerants, troubleshooting control systems, modifying ductwork, filter changes, replacement of motors and compressors, and installing all other OEM replacement parts and components.Research specify and order replacement parts and components as necessary. Maintain on-site inventory.Member of site emergency response teams. HVAC systems from 1-ton mini splits up to 140-ton package units integrated into a Building Automation System (BAS) controlling over 150 VAV/FPB climate control zones. Boilers systems (2Mbtu natural gas) Chillers Exhaust ventilation systems Environmental Chambers Clean room When assigned, will perform duties of Maintenance Worker A in the upkeep of the facility and all other equipment. Essential Functions: Able to work independently with minimal supervision in a dynamic, cross functional maintenance team supporting other functional teams throughout the facility. Ability to work at heights using ladders, scaffolding and/or aerial lifts Ability to safely lift 50 lbs. Proficient computer skills utilizing MS Office suite applications, Building Management Systems, and Computerized Maintenance Management Systems (CMMS) Able to interpret P&IDs, equipment/system layouts, wiring diagrams, and specifications in planning and performing maintenance and repairs. Qualifications: Requires a High School Diploma or equivalent and a minimum of 4 years of prior relevant experience or 2 years post-Secondary/Associates Degree with 0 to 2 years of prior related experience. Requires a US EPA Section 608 Technician Certification, Type: Universal (not I, II, or III) Preferred Additional Skills: Experience with VFD drives and controls Experience in commercial/industrial HVAC service and repair Experience with Automated Logic BAS software US EPA Section 608 Technician Certification, Type: Universal (not I, II, or III) Please be aware many of our positions require the ability to obtain a security clearance.
