Clean Harbors Billing Manager in Norwell, Massachusetts

Clean Harbors is looking to hire a Billing Manager that will be responsible for managing a team of supervisors and billers. Ensures compliance with all customer requirements to produce accurate and timely invoices in the format customers require. Acts as subject matter expert for billing systems and their relationship with other critical systems such as quotes, worksheets, and plant receiving.

  • Review workloads, backlogs, oldest unbilled, lagging unapproved sales orders and other data for issues and proactively take action to resolve issues.

  • Communicate issues, trends and status of key statistics.

  • Become expert in all billing systems; Document process flows for training and efficient communication with the field.

  • Resolve problems and be a lead for questions from the billing team as well as all internal customers.

  • Assist in development of operating policies and procedures for the department, including assisting in the development of special procedures for events (i.e., shutdowns and/or spills)

  • Interface with management information systems (MIS) and other groups on system enhancements and modifications.

  • Interface with customers as needed-this should be done in conjunction with AM's and/or customer service people.

  • Work in close partnership with all internal and external contacts.

  • Bachelor’s degree in Accounting/Finance/Related

  • 5-7 years of experience

  • Demonstrated leadership skills

  • Ability to resolve problems

  • Strong time management skills

  • Ability to work under pressure to meet deadlines

  • Billing, financial operations, and/or field operations experience.
