Job Description:
The Feeder Industrial Engineering (IE) Supervisor is responsible for developing processes and reports to identify areas that can be improved within the Feeder operation. This position’s core responsibilities includes supporting all aspects of Feeder IE such as: equipment (tractors, trailers, shifters and dollies), work measurement, the Feeder Planning Tool (FPS), operational reporting, Master Operating Plans, and seasonal plans.
Salary Range: $85,000 - $96,000
Work Schedule: Monday - Friday, evenings, 1PM - 12AM
Responsibilities
Reviews daily/weekly trends (e.g., historical volume, marketing and economic data) and growth rate calculations to approve volume projections and forecast future asset needs
Updates forecasts to ensure validity and assess the impact of forecasts on business plans
Conducts operational audits (e.g., feeder and ground schedules, timecard accuracy, hub flows)
Preferred
Bachelor's Degree or International equivalent
Bachelor's Degree or International equivalent in Engineering, Mathematics, Computer Science, or related field - Preferred
Experience with Microsoft Office Applications: Word, PowerPoint, and Excel - Preferred
Experience supervising employees – Preferred
Strong interpersonal communication skills
Flexible local travel to neighboring facilities
Demonstrates a general understanding of ways to identify and measure the current needs of the customer or business; uses the business need to help define the project’s requirements
Demonstrates a basic understanding of a business problem; recommends a solution to solve the business problem
Demonstrates a general understanding of common estimation and forecasting techniques; identifies items that require estimation; identifies relevant data sources; identifies general trends in relevant data
Demonstrates a detailed understanding of processes, procedures, and methods within small package operations; demonstrates a broad knowledge of tools, equipment, and technology used in small package operations; identifies root causes of recurring issues; describes the general structure of small package operations
Identifies routine work methods/processes/flows to analyze; describes in general terms, process capability studies; describes the basic steps in analysis of data related to people, technology, or information
Experience demonstrating proficiency using SharePoint including edits and maintenance - Preferred
