Your Role as a Live-In Residential House Manager:As a Live-in House Manager, you will be the cornerstone of our residential community. This role is ideal for someone passionate about human services, eager to immerse themselves in a community they will lead and support. You will oversee daily operations, maintain a safe and supportive environment, and help residents achieve personal growth and independence—all while living on-site.

Living Arrangements:

  • Private Bedroom: Enjoy the privacy of your own bedroom within an on-site shared apartment in Norwood, MA.

  • Shared Spaces:The apartment includes a shared kitchen, living room, and bathroom.

  • Utilities Included:Utilities, cable, and Wi-Fi are fully covered.

  • On-Site Amenities:Access to on-site laundry facilities and parking is included.

  • Referral Opportunity:You have the option to refer a roommate for the apartment, allowing you to choose someone you trust and enjoy living with.

What You'll Do:

  • Lead and Support:Provide guidance and support to residents in their daily activities, fostering a strong sense of community and belonging.

  • Manage Operations:Oversee the day-to-day functioning of the residential community, including cooking a community-style dinner and maintaining a safe, well-kept environment.

  • Empower Residents:Use your human service knowledge to mentor and support residents in developing life skills and enhancing their overall well-being.

  • Ensure Safety:Prioritize the safety and emergency preparedness of all residents, ensuring a secure living environment.

  • Collaborate and Communicate: Engage regularly with residents and team members to promote open communication and a collaborative atmosphere.

  • Drive Improvement: Contribute your insights and expertise to continually improve our programs and services.

Qualifications You Bring:

  • Passion for Human Services:A High School Diploma is required, degree in human services, or a related field is preferred.

  • Experience with Vulnerable Populations:2–4 years of experience working with individuals with disabilities or in a similar residential setting is preferred, but a strong commitment to serving vulnerable populations is essential.

  • Leadership and Compassion:Demonstrated leadership abilities, combined with a deep compassion for those in need.

  • Commitment to Safety:A strong dedication to maintaining a safe and supportive environment for all residents.

  • Health and Safety Training:CPR and First Aid certifications are preferred, or the ability to obtain them within the first 30 days of employment.
