Position Overview
The Computational Design and Automation group is seeking a passionate and motivated software engineer to join our engineering team working on next generation design visual programming technology. The ideal candidate has a strong programming background in modern desktop and web development technologies and does not shy away from challenging problems.
In this position, you will play an important role in the development of new technology to empower Autodesk customers to automate their design process. You will use your knowledge and enthusiasm across all aspects of the software development process. This role requires an engineer who is flexible enough to jump into virtually any project, regardless of platform. You will be collaborating with a high performing team within Autodesk, and also actively engage the network of contributors to the Dynamo open source project.

Responsibilities
Contribute to design, implementation, testing, and deployment of Dynamo software products (desktop, web, and mobile)
Apply core engineering principles to ensure quality, usability, and performance
Perform code and system analysis to identify and fix defects
Participate in agile development process, including daily scrum, sprint planning, code reviews, and quality assurance activities
Help to ensure our customers’ success by participating in visits and demonstrations, contributing to support forums and identifying issues and resolutions
Work in a global team and collaborate with local and remote colleagues from various disciplines like business, engineering, operations, support, etc.
Work with the latest technologies in a flexible environment
Minimum Qualifications
Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, or related field
At least 5-7 years experience in software development
A strong background in fostering a culture of continuous delivery, automation and agile development
Experience developing web or desktop applications
Expertise developing in at least one web or desktop application framework
A strong proficiency with general development technologies: Git, Testing Frameworks, CI Practices and tools
Experience with Desktop technologies (e.g. C#, .NET/.NET Core or equivalent)
Experience with Frontend (e.g. JavaScript/TypeScript, CSS/HTML) and experience in at least one web framework (e.g. React, Angular)
Experience with backend technologies NodeJS or equivalent
Preferred Qualifications
Ability to work as a member of a team
Show flexibility under changing conditions
User Interface Design
Experience with CAD applications
Experience with BIM workflows
Familiarity with computer graphics and/or computational geometry
Architecture, Engineering, Construction, or Manufacturing domain experience
