Job Title: Refractory Installer
Job Description
Aerotek is hiring immediately for a refractory installer with a very reputable company. They are a leading provider of refractories and industrial installation services, is seeking Refractory Installers. The Refractory Installers will be responsible for the tear-out and replacement of high-temperature furnace linings in industrial manufacturing facilities. This role requires skills in masonry, welding, carpentry, and insulating. Installers must apply appropriate craftsman techniques in accordance with the specifications and accepted best practices. Responsibilities
Tear out and replace high-temperature furnace linings
Travel to different projects daily, primarily in Grafton and Worcester
Apply craftsman techniques in masonry, welding, carpentry, and insulating
Work in industrial settings
Follow OSHA and MSHA safety rules
Work varied shifts, including nights, weekends, and 10-12 hour days as needed
Wear PPE including a respirator
Work in confined spaces and on scaffolding at heights
Additional Skills & Qualifications
Willingness to work varied shifts, including nights, weekends, and 10-12 hour days as needed
Overnight travel as needed throughout the Northeast US
Ability to follow OSHA and MSHA safety rules

Work Environment
The work environment involves projects in industrial settings, with typical hours from 7:00 AM to 3:30 PM or 7:00 AM to 5:00 PM, with the option to work on weekends. Saturday work is paid at time and a half, while Sunday work is paid at double time. Occasionally, 12-hour workdays may be required. Basic hand tools such as a utility knife, measuring tape, and levels are required, while all other tools are provided.
