As the Director of Patient Care Services , your essential functions include;
Provides the overall vision and leads the strategic development of the service line at an organizational level
responsible for the development, implementation, and evaluation of policies, programs and services which support the continued provision and improvement of quality patient care within the service line units
Reports to the Chief Nursing Officer of Patient Care Services in the Baystate Health Eastern Region
provides leadership in strategic planning, program development, operations, and human resource management and across departments to assure the development of effective and efficient systems and operations
Develops operational and financial goals and objectives and strategies in collaboration with the service line directors and department Chairs as appropriate to achieve efficient, effective care and integrated care
prepare, monitor and effectively manage budgets for assigned areas
manages effectively and efficiently the human, material, financial and informational resources to provide service-oriented patient centered- care in each respective department
assures that adequate resources are allocated for the provision of patient care within the patient care units
Implements and executes new programs including staff planning, position design and physical space planning and coordinates efforts with departments to ensure appropriate communication and cooperation
What you will need?
Master's Degree Required
Graduate of an accredited school of nursing, current Massachusetts RN License
ANCC Certification preferred
Three to five years leadership experience in related field
Broad knowledge of an advanced and technically or professionally specialized discipline such as health care and delivery systems, health policy, hospital administration, or other studies not available in undergraduate school
Position located in the Baystate Health Eastern Region; including Baystate Wing Hospital, Palmer, MA and Baystate Mary Lane Outpatient Ctr., Ware, MA
